Memorandum of Understanding
Finnish region South Savo made a presentation in the pavilion of Finland in July 3rd. There were six companies and organizations from the region presenting their operation and supply: South Savo Regional Council, South Savo Chamber of Commerce, Mikkeli development Miksei Ltd, South Savo Vocational College Esedu, Etelä-Savon Energia Oy, and Oy SWM-Wood Ltd. In his opening words the Head of Delegation, County Governor Mr. Pentti Mäkinen said that South Savo Region has good connections and long cooperation with Russia, and a strong desire to establish partnerships with Kazakhstan as well.
There were 17 invited guests taking part in the event, 15 of which represented vocational education sector of Kazakhstan. NCJSC “Holding “Kasipkor”, responsible for the development of vocational education and WorldSkills, was represented by seven specialists. Furthermore, there were managers of five vocational colleges from different regions at present. The Head of the Kazakh vocational education delegation, the Chairman of the Board of NCJSC “Holding “Kasipkor”, Mr. Arshabekov Nurgali Rahimgalievich stated, that NCJSC “Holding “Kasipkor” and vocational colleges seek for a serious, long-term cooperation with South Savo Region.
During the event vocational college Esedu signed a Memorandum of Understanding not only with NCJSC “Holding “Kasipkor”, but also with three different vocational colleges working in Karagandansky, Akmolinsky and Kostanaisky regions. The aim of the mutual cooperation is development of vocational education system on a commercial basis.
