The National Day of Finland 20th June
President of the Republic of Finland Mr. Sauli Niinistö visited EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition under the National Day of Finland on June 20, 2017. He met also with Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan. The President Niinistö was accompanied by the business delegation and the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Mr. Kai Mykkänen.
The business delegation included the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK and representatives of biggest Finnish companies: airline Finnair, interior and furniture design company Isku, chemical industry group Kemira, energy and environmental technology company Oilon, the City of Oulu, company Outotec providing technologies and services for the metal and mineral processing industries, paints and coatings company Tikkurila. Also the global leaders in environmental and industrial measurement Vaisala and Wärtsilä Corporation with power solutions for the marine and energy markets are participating the visit.
The National Day of Finland was celebrated in the honor of Finland’s 100 years’ independence, demonstrating the best examples of Finnish culture. The program of the day introduced visitors with the values of Finland - the land with clean nature and pure energy . Visitors met the most famous man in Finland, Joulupukki - Santa Claus from Lapland, and enjoyed great music performances by outstanding Finnish music talents.
